COLOUR PALETTE · 2 COLOURS
Two colours. Nothing to hide behind.

One bit per pixel: every pixel is either black or white, with no grey available anywhere. Any impression of tone has to be manufactured entirely by the arrangement of dots.
This is dithering in its purest form, and the algorithm choice matters more here than with any other palette. Atkinson gives the crisp Macintosh look, Bayer gives a mechanical crosshatch, and Floyd-Steinberg gives a finer photographic grain.
Print-style output, strong graphic images, and the classic Mac aesthetic.
